Apple, AT&T Unveil iPhone Service Plans »

Plans range from $59.99 to $99.99. All plans include unlimited data. I was expecting to pay more to have unlimited data as is usually the case. Fantastic. Here’s the official plan breakdown from Apple. There’s also a new Activation & Sync video on Apple’s site.

3 Million iPhones on Hand for Launch »

This sounds too good to be true, but BusinessWeek is reporting that two sources say there will be 3 million iPhones available on June 29. I just hope 500,000 of them are at my local Apple store so I’m sure to get one.

E-mail is Not a Platform for Design »

Jeffery Zeldman makes an argument for why “designed” e-mails should cease to exist and goes so far as to label designers who use it as giving us all a bad name. His argument is a little near-sighted and ignores the reality of today’s market place. Permission based HTML e-mail, is not only valid, but extremely effective.

Coda Review (Short & Late)

June 6, 2007 ~ Comments 0

Panic’s Coda caused quite a stir…and delivers on the hype.

A lot’s already been said about Panic’s Coda and I’m certainly late to the review party so I’ll keep this short.

Coda lives up to the hype, but still falls short for me as being a total replacement for my main development apps of Transmit and Textmate.

After using coda for a few weeks, where I’ve found it works best in my work flow is as the initial coding tool to do the first draft of HTML and CSS, translating my Photoshop design into a live design. After that, I find myself returning to Transmit and Textmate.

iPhone to Launch June 29 »

Apple is running new ads which show the launch date as June 29. The ads are nicely done focusing on the user interface of the phone. The Calamari ad is particularly effective. I wonder if the phone is actually going to feel that quick and responsive?
